Dr. Rivera-Ortiz graduated with honors from the University of Puerto Rico and the Universidad Central del Caribe. She completed her specialty in Internal Medicine at the renowned University Hospital for Adults on the UPR Medical Sciences Campus, where she also completed her subspecialty training in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism with distinction.

Her commitment to excellence is reflected in her ongoing training through multiple Continuing Medical Education courses and advanced courses in Aesthetic Medicine, consolidating her position as one of the few Cutera providers in Puerto Rico.

Her clinic stands out as an exclusive center for aesthetic medicine, being one of the few locations offering the innovative TruSculpt iD and TruSculpt Flex treatments, in addition to cutting-edge 1064nm Nd:YAG laser procedures for treating vascular lesions and the exclusive Laser Genesis. Her most recent acquisitions are the ShapeScale and Novopore Stylus 02, revolutionizing the clinic and providing an even more comprehensive service to our patients. With these additions, the clinic remains at the forefront of medical and aesthetic technology, guaranteeing top-level treatments tailored to each patient's individual needs.

In 2020, Dr. Rivera-Ortiz founded the Endocrinology Metabolism Wellness Center (EMWC), a space of excellence dedicated to providing a specialized approach to the management of obesity and metabolic issues. This center not only offers high-quality medical treatments but also educates patients about this chronic and multifactorial condition.

In response to the demand of its distinguished patients, the center has incorporated FDA-approved aesthetic treatments for obesity, as well as exclusive products that promote skin, hair, and nail health, especially for patients with endocrine disorders.
